Hibiki’s Magic

Posted on April 15, 2011June 4, 2025 by Chris Kincaid

This is a guest post written by Mallory Thompson.

Hibiki’s Magic is like eating a cupcake, topped with pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles accompanied by a cool glass of milk. Hibiki is a magician who is terrible at magic, which is rather generic in the world of manga. Hibiki is one of those characters who has a kind and generous spirit. While the characters are sweet and heartwarming the tales they tell are dark. Using magic has a price, whether it be memory loss, rapid aging, or hair loss. I’m just kidding about the hair loss.

Spoiler(You have been warned):

For example when Hibiki’s teacher uses magic it causes his memory to deteriorate. Its like he has Alzheimers.

End Spoiler

This series is entertaining. I thought it was a good stress reliever. The art is great, the story decent, and the gusks(two tailed white and blue squirrels) are cuddly.I’m just not addicted to it like Tsubasa Chronicles or Hana Kimi.
